the red hill guide
The Red Hill Guide is a hardware institution. It's been here since the heady days of 1995.
Remember the 386? We do. When we started doing the Red Hill Guide, the 386 was state-of-the-art.
Unlike a lot of sites, the Red Hill Guide isn't here to push our products. It's just for information, not for on-line shopping.
Alas, it takes an enormous amount of time to maintain it properly in this ever-changing industry, and in the last couple of years we have had too many other interesting things soaking up time, so the Red Hill Guide has been allowed to sit untouched. In the main, it is about the fascinating history of hard drives and CPUs and motherboards, so there is no real harm in that.
History doesn't change much.
